What Members Thought
Looking for Alaska is debut novel by John Green. I have seen watching his youtube channel for a very long time and finally I decided to jump in to read his books. This book is told in time periods - Before and After (Alaska). At the core this book is about 5 friends in an elite school. But it's also about life and how can you move on if your friend and the one you had crush on dies. Now I am on to 'An Abundance of Katherines'.

As soon as I had started reading the book, I wasn't getting good vibes out of it.
Needless to say, it was teenage crap filled with pretentious depression of Pudge, who fell in love with moody-depressed-bitchy Alaska. There was not a single character, whom I looked forward to reading about. The pranks were so old school, it looked like I had tumbled upon Enid Blyton books while reading about those pranks. I think even those children books did a better job at playing school pranks.

Bitter-sweet, philosophical and utterly brilliant!A deeply personal book that will remain with me forever. I am officially a fan of John Green's writing.

the book makes us question what are a person's thoughts in their last moment. How do people they left battle with their emotions about the person.
"how will I ever get out of this labyrinth?" the quote aptly describes, how a person feels when they lose someone close to them. and how they keep on blaming themselves, would things
be different had they behaved differently.

When started it was a normal story... was like an Indian author romance. But as the story proceeds it did show the difference. The best thing I liked about the book is the "Last words". John Green makes you to start looking for some by your self!
