I don't care if he sold it as a memoir. I have defended Frey's writing since the day the whole Oprah debacle occured. The style was is unique and so male. It made me think I was eavesdropping on the internal dialogue of a man. I was crushed and I rooted for him. He made FEEL and it had nothing to do with it being supposedly "non fiction". It was the way he told me this story. I have re read exactly 5 books in my life. (I have too many in my TBR pile to turn back) and this is one of them. ...more
