If you hate football, this is not the story for you. I wonder was it about Pat-the protagonist or Eagles. He has been in asylum and his wife-Nikki or ex-wife has a restraining order against him. What must have happened? He seems to think that he has been in that 'bad place' for a few months and his apart time with his wife will end soon, the silver lining he hopes for. I absolutely loved this off-beat little book.
So bad that it defeats my ability to explain exactly why.
Wasn't so great as the reviews claim, but Bradley Cooper would have made at least tolerable in the movie.
Probably shouldn't have read the book just after reading PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER!
Update: re read in 2015 after watching the movie, I liked the movie again ...more
