I bought this as soon as i finished Khaled Hosseini's A thousand splendid suns. A story based on Afgan lives. Amir and Hassan are like friends. But Hassan being a servant boy, Amir is not ready to say it out loud. Amir's mom died when she gave birth to him and she loved books just like him. He always tries to have his fathers full attention but he fail to do so. Later on in his life when he gets his fathers attention he had to pay a big price.

At starting it seems boring due to the descriptive part...but as story goes on, the conditions after the war starts, n when author returns to Afghanistan it makes us curious about it.
Nice streaming of story, author is successful to show his minds conditions very effectively.
but I personally didn't like the end. it confuses exactly what it makes author to say that he succeeded. The boy was still not recovered as he was in the Islamabad.

This book had so much drama and so many things going on that I couldn't stop reading it. It was really sad and there were so many wrong things that kept happening. When I finished reading, I seriously could not stop shaking.
