Okay - so my dislike for Jacob really never made me enjoy this book much. If we're honest, I genuinely don't even remember reading it the first time that much. I may have seen the movie and then skipped to the end.

Easily this reader's least-favorite of all four books in the series, New Moon does show a degree of style growth as we're introduced to a storytelling shift from the first book: Dual-POV. Not only are we given Bella's first-person perspective, but also Jacob's. Edward features little throughout most of the story (aside from Bella's semi-hallucinating moments brought on by self-inflicted danger--in which some semblance of her own conscience/common-sense seems to manifest as Edward, with the reque ...more
There wasn't enough Edward in this one for me. Also, Bella's breakdown was a bit too much. I think it may give young ladies the wrong message about love.
