From Barnes and Noble's website:
I FELT LIKE I WAS TRAPPED IN ONE OF THOSE TERRIFYING NIGHTMARES…For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning. . .

I know some people didn't enjoy the absence of Edward, but I found the rise of Jacob as a legitimate character in his own right, rather intriguing.
I have really enjoyed the two books of Twilight I've read so far, and much like my sister with Harry Potter, I can't believe I've put off my diving into them for so long.
Now that I'm a fan, however, I want to savor the flavor, nice pun (lol), of the series and read one every now and then.
