First, let me say I am just now starting to read YA books. I was not thrilled by Twilight so that turned me off most YA books. However, like I tell my grandchildren about trying foods they don’t like again and again, I have to remember to keep trying different genres of books I think I don’t like. I have read several books lately that were classified as Young Adult that I enjoyed very much. So once again I learn not to limit myself. I have an Amazon Kindle and the great thing about it is that you can read samples of the novel before you purchase. I just purchased this book and I'm on Chapter 2 now. Very interesting thus far. I don't think it's going to take me that long to finish it.

This book is awesome. I was instantly drawn to the world of Panem. It has everything, from action, drama and romance. This book pulls me in from the first page until the end. I can't wait to read the second book.
