Given that I'm not a fan of politics or novels whose main plot involves this, I got to admit that "1984" was a very interesting book and I was very curious about it the more I read it.
The world George Orwell created is so complex and totally possible, thought to the last detail. It's amazing how he had a book, The Book inside the book, and also created a freaking grammar for the Newspeak, totally plausible and correct.

If you need to understand how extreme dictator regime works or may work, this book gives you a peek. It was a psychological pain reading through this book, reading about a much oppressed and controlled society. The character has to die within himself to become faithful to the governing bodies. A tough book to read !
