This is the book that was chosen as the 2016 genre group read. March - Mystery.
5 stars
Very good book. Little weird. Tom was very bad. Liked Rachel and some of the others. Mystery books are always good.
Happy Easter everyone!!!

I literally couldn't leave it aside when I reached the last 100 pages.
It was so well written and everyone seemed suspect, I didn't even know what to think, I mean I had a hunch ever since the beginning, and it turned out I was right, but I did question it a lot of times.
I loved that Rachel wasn't the kind of girl you root for or you completely love, but a normal person with flaws (and a lot of them).
Anna was such an annoying character, she had zero self esteem, and she was so cruel and heartless ...more

What a riveting (cliched, I know) book! I could not stop once I started. Told from three different perspectives, the book unfolds in a series on "present" narrative, interspersed with flashbacks. As each woman tells her part of the story, you have to wonder if things are where they seem. The "main" narrator is Rachel, who has recently suffered a terrible loss.
The book has been compared to "Gone Girl" which is definitely a great tag line, but I enjoyed this so much more. ...more

I would rate this a little above 4, if I could.
It's odd but by the end of this book, there's no character that I liked. Not one.
This is a sure shot page turner though. I couldn't do much before I made sure I have read this end to end. ...more

Listened to the Audible version. I enjoyed most of this, and I will recommend it to those people who like character-driven modern murder mysteries. This is along the lines of "Gone Girl", which I really enjoyed. However, I didn't care for the climax and resolution here, as well as the convoluted character interrelationships.
