Wow. Just wow.
This was such a powerful novel on an important topic that defined our history and our humanity. How normal people were taken from their homes and treated as dirt just because they were thought to be anti-Stalin or that they might be against their system.
Lina, the main character, is relatable and you often forget she's only fifteen (at the beginning of the book) and sixteen about halfway through. She's the combination between Anne Frank (real person) and Katniss Everdeen and Tris P ...more
