Net Galley provided me with this book for a review.
This book absolutely floored me. I still feel a bit stunned. What I expected was a cute first novel from a new writer. From reading the descriptions of the book I expected some angsty teen drama about a girl who loves a boy, but can't be with said boy. I could not have been farther from the truth.

Slammed was Hoover's first novel and based on how much I loved two of her later novels Ugly Love and Confess, her storytelling ability has improved tremendously - and so quickly. i personally don't know what to write about this book. the story was good but the writing style of the writer destroyed it hence i can not enjoy it. it was plane and surfaced with no emotions feelings and depth in it the lead characters were a little too much straight forward for my taste.
the description and the setting of the book was also lost upon me.
in the end i would simply conclude that it was just a read for me it could have been better but was not.
