This is the first time I rated a book with 5 stars, and until now I still have this feeling of wonder about the whole experience of reading the book. My rating is more on based on the character she represents than the tale that was told. This is more than a romantic novel and you can never define it in a single kind.

Jane Eyre is witty, intelligent, traditional in many of her sentiments, but thoroughly entertaining and unpredictable. I suppose this would be considered a love story, but there are elements of mystery, deceit, and self discovery. This book really makes you root for its young protagonist.
