This reader is typically hesitant about war stories. But knowing so little about the Vietnam war—a nebulous conflict that drove my own father to volunteer for military service rather than waiting for his draft number to come up—I felt compelled to explore it through this bit of literature.

WOW! A riveting read of the horrors of Vietnam and the brave soldiers who experienced the events and survived, or at least managed to cope, with the many terrible situations they were seriously unprepared to witness. May we never take for granted the many sacrifices our brave veterans continue to make to defend the freedom we too often do take for granted. Thank you to all veterans!
