Shelves: finished-in-2015, audiobooks

I'm not familiar with Neil Gaiman, nor was I aware of what genre this was before I listened to this audiobook. Is this sort of thing par for the course for him? I feel like I should have prepared myself better. This is a very strange, creepy book with no real explanation, and I don't think it's something you can really just hop into without being aware of the genre. Or maybe I just wasn't in the right mindset/mood for it. I don't know.

Not my usual genre , but this guy can write!! Quite dark in places and strangely addictive, also trippy. and thought provoking. Totally worth a read even if it's just for his fabulous writing. ...more

Shelves: contemporary, thriller, fantasy, fiction, sci-fi, paranormal

I borrowed this book from my local library today and sat down and finished it in one sitting. I found myself unable to put it down as I was amazed by how much I was enjoying it.

I am so glad that books like this exist and are available for everyone to read. Character development and design, fear for our young hero and the fact that his memory is as faulty as ours is in real life makes this book one I will go out and buy for myself.
