Game of Thrones - Book vs TV series
Having watched the HBO series for Game of Thrones, is it worth reading the book afterwards? That's the question I set to myself.
I usually have a hard time transitioning from the screen to the book. I find that seeing the characters on screen, knowing their personalities and mannerisms too well can detract from my enjoyment of a book; it leaves little room for imagination when you know exactly how a character is suppose to behave at each step. Too much violence, I think the story is complex and that's not particularly awesome for me, there were times when I couldn't keep up with it, and I think it shows a pretty twisted world. I couldn't believe how many characters had died, or how many had changed... I have no idea if I'm going to continue reading it.
