Intriguing twist on humanizing and empowering sex workers (which I adored) weakened by the fact that the two protagonists were both super-boring, they fell into bed 15 minutes after meeting and it was totally implausible except as shorthand for "one-dimensional characters ahoy". Plus this whole "Bloodhounds go pon farr every new moon!" thing turned out to be that he finally put his pon in her farr, which was the only rumpy-pumpy activity they hadn't managed by that point.
