Plot:

If you love an intense, feminist read, this one's for you! This book made me a big ole ball of emotions. The most prevalent emotion was anger. Rao is such a phenomenal writer. She was able to evoke an intense, emotional response from me during much of the book.

Poornima and Savitha live in a world where their value in life is determined by gender. These women endure tragic events and their friendship helps keep their fires burning. Please, please, please give this book a read.
