The book begins with frantic letters from Rowan to a solicitor advocate. Rowan has been imprisoned and is awaiting trial for allegedly murdering a child while being a nanny of a rich family in Scotland. Her detailed letters provide as her only means to explain everything that happened and prove her innocence, with the hopes of convincing the advocate to free her.

Rowan’s story begins with seeing an ad wanting a resident nanny for 3 children with a very generous salary and benefits. While her gut

Rowan is a 20-something woman who wants a fresh start in life. She answers an ad for a live-in nanny position in Scotland, and she feels like it is an answer to her prayers. In the midst of her life-changing move, she tries to solve the mystery of what happened to the previous nannies.

I did get scared 😅 I don’t do creepy potential haunted houses I like tangible threats.

20 something Rowan finds the perfect job- a residential nannying position offering a very high wage with perks. The home is magnificent and has everything she ever dreamt of.
The only drawback is they can’t hold a nanny.
With every na
