My Take on the Book
Amy is married to Nick, but on their 5th wedding anniversary Amy comes up missing. The prime suspect? Nick of course.
However, everything is not what it seems.Flynn takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of emotional suspense building characters you love to hate and then just plan hate.
This book is broken into three different parts. And without doing spoilers I can only say that the breaks into the different story lines give the reader a different perspectives of not on My Take on the Book

Liked:
Flynn is an amazing writer. She builds characters and is able to manipulate the reader into seeing exactly what she wants you to see. The intense dichotomy of the characters between the sections of the book was intense. I went from liking to hating and back and forth.

Disliked:
There was definitely more that I disliked about this book then I liked, and here is where the spoilers come in because I can't give you a full review without spoilers.
So with that being said here it is... this book was really difficult for me to get through. It was one hundred to one hundred and fifty pages before I was able to really get into the book. That is way to long to hook a reader. There were no redeeming quality's to any of the characters. And when you think the worst of them is about to get their due, they do something reprehensible and ultimately win in the end. If this wasn't a book of the month read I would have put it down and not picked it up again before I even got to the twists of the book.
And about those twists, they were predictable. I saw them coming and felt cheated because everyone said the book was so intense and twisted and it just did nothing for me. And in the end I was like, Why? Why? Why? Why do we care, why do we want to see how they end up? Why can't good or even something reality based happen in the end. But all you get is a sense of a story that has been told in the 'true life' stories on A&E.

Overall
This was seriously a rough and tumble read for me. I wanted to like it, but then I hated it and then I wanted to see what was going on and it made me hate it more. The only redeeming character was the cop Rhonda Boney, and Nicks twin sister Margo.

??Recommend??
I am going to do something I have never done before. I would not recommend this book. It has been hyped to the point it is being made into a movie. So I will not add to the hype and recommend it.

Rating:
Although, this is a book that everyone seems to love it just didn't do it for me. And I hated the characters more in the end then at the beginning which I honestly didn't think was possible. I am giving this 2 out of 5 stars.
