This is a great entry to a new series. Detective Inspector Matthew Venn lives and works near his childhood home in Devonshire. He left the strict religious community that he belonged to as a child, the Brethren, and was cut off by his parents. Matthew is married to Jonathan, who is the director at a local arts center.
