Wow – this was a fantastic read!! I LOVED it and could not put it down. SO good!!

The premise of this book is fascinating--it's as if Harry Potter had been sired by Lord Voldemort instead of James Potter and then mistreated and abused by almost everybody, subject to constant and increasing (and unfair!) constraints/oppression, and left not knowing what to do or who to trust! The beginning of this book was very strong and intriguing. Sadly though I feel it lost its pace about half way through. I became a little frustrated with the many treks Nathan had to take to find Mercury. However Sally Green has made likeable characters particularly in Nathan,Arran and GabrieI.
