If I would describe Hex Hall in one word, it would be humorous. Throughout the book, I found myself laughing at character remarks and different scenes in the book and the protagonist, which is also the narrator, is very funny. One plausible reason why I love this book beyond anyone's comprehension is the revelations. Notice how I added an 's' on the word 'revelation'? Those revelations flipped me, literally. I liked the book. Good for a quick, light read, especially during 2AM in the morning. (Yes, I have to stop this habit. But whatever. Sue me!) Still, the book was good, and I'm starting on the next one now. ...more

I had gotten this book from the library but then lost interest in reading it, but then I read the first chapter and was immediately hooked. Sophie is so funny and incredible. I love how she stands up for Jenna and refuses the Covent (even though they force her into it anyway) she still refuses. I will definitely be reading the next one.

It was a good book that was interesting. I never expected who the 'bad guy' would be.

When I was reading the book I found a lot of similarities between this and "Darke Academy" by Gabriella Poole. The base story line of the books, I have to say are the same. The boarding school, someone dying last year mystery, more attacks this year, the 'elite group', someone close to the main character being the suspect, etc. etc. But I also have to say that the similarities ended towards the end because of wh
