**Short "end of month" Review**

Well, this was different than the first book, i liked it thou

MC is still great. Kinda gets better in this book to be honest.

I am glad she went with the boy she went with ;) The other rubs me wrong.

The twist in the beginning was nice, and the ending, crushed me to see her go but the new addition to our MC was kinda worth it.

Though his guts were twisting at the thought of her in this place, with these people, though he was considering every possible way to get himself and Celaena out of here alive, he gave the man a grin. "Then you're really in for a big surprise.”

In Crown of Midnight, Sarah J. Maas gives us a whole different kind of perspective, it's like this book has its own story, and it was the perfect sequel to Throne of Glass.
If I thought the 1st book was brilliant then wow, I was in for a big surprise because Crown of Midnight exceeded all my expectations. It was more than brilliant; it was THE most awesome and outstanding book I've read so far. No words.

"Why are you crying?"
"Because," she whispered, her voice shaking, "you remind me of what the world ought to be. What the world can be.”

While reading this book I laughed, cried and I screamed: screams of happiness and agony. I had my fair share of happy and heartbreaking moments in this book.

“He wouldn't let his servants change the sheets on his bed because they still smelled like her, because he went to sleep dreaming that she was still lying beside him.”

I came to a point where I was so heartbroken I had to stop reading for a while, literally. I didn't read for 5 days. 5 days. If a book gets to you like that, when you almost feel everyhting, just grab on to it, because you just found one of the books that will stick with you for ever.

My favorite part of Crown of Midnight:

“There had never been any line between them, only his own stupid fear and pride. Because from the moment he'd pulled her out of that mine in Endovier and she had set those eyes upon him, still fierce despite a year in hell, he'd been walking toward this, walking to her. So Chaol brushed away her tears, lifter her chin, and kissed her.”

The answers I got just blew me awyay. The ending left me speecheless. I need the next bok. NOW.

(Hey guys! I want to ask for apologies in advance because 1)this is my first rewiew ever and 2)English is not my native language so if there is any mistakes on here, just tell me on the comments and i will fix it!)

So, where do I start?I loved this book (is not a surprise, because is Sarah J Maas and I wasn't expecting nothing but awesomeness from her so yeah.
The world keeps beign built. In every chapter we see more about it and I just loved how she started talking more about the fae, their magic (Hey guys! So, where do I start?I loved this book (is not a surprise, because is Sarah J Maas and I wasn't expecting nothing but awesomeness from her so yeah.
The world keeps beign built. In every chapter we see more about it and I just loved how she started talking more about the fae, their magical powers and how things actually work! She explained some question made in the past book and some questions made on this one. And the moments when those questions where answered were wonderful! Her "timing" made everything better!
About the plot twists: as in Throne of Glass, the major plot twist was kind of obvious. I was already expecting for that by the end of the first book, actually. But how Sarah wrote it made that moment 10000000000000000% better than in my mind.
But what can I say about the smaller plot twists. I got so mind-blowed! I wasn't expecting for them to happen AT ALL. When I read them I really had to put the book down for a minute, take some deep breaths, assimilate what was happening, and then go back to the book. And it happens in a lot of moments during my read(or reread. I felt the same rereading it as I felt when I read for the first time).
Anf now, let's talk about the romance (sorry for the caps guys): WHAT WAS THAT? I really can't say much without spoiling you, but *takes a deep breath* .
My ship sailled. And I sailled it myself. I got SO pissed with Chaol you have no idea. I kind of undertood why he acted that way, and I found his attitude by the book very passionate and...cute(?) that I could't hate him, but shipping him with Celaena just doesn't make sence to me anymore. I just can't .
And we finaly *finaly* saw the "assassin side" of Celaena, and I loved it so much . Seeing why she was Adarlan most famous assassin and why so many people feared her was wonderful.

Si pudiera darle más estrellas, se las daría.
Con esto se nota que Throne of Glass era una mera introducción a la historia, y que Sarah J. Maas sabe lo que hace. No puedo esperar al proximo libro y le digo a la gente que no se enganchó con el primero, denle una oportunidad y sigan con este. No se van a arrepentir.

Crown of Midnight is the second book in Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series, and as it was on the top of my TBR pile, I was reluctant to re-read it as there were so many things that demanded my attention. Despite this, I read the book, and I was instantly reminded why I loved this book so much.

There are the same familiar character in the first book, but there are noticeable shifts in who they are. For Celaena, she loses some of the playfulness, and she is struck with a sense a responsibility. Crown of Midnight is the second book in Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series, and as it was on the top of my TBR pile, I was reluctant to re-read it as there were so many things that demanded my attention. Despite this, I read the book, and I was instantly reminded why I loved this book so much.

There are the same familiar character in the first book, but there are noticeable shifts in who they are. For Celaena, she loses some of the playfulness, and she is struck with a sense a responsibility. It’s almost like a second emotional growth spurt for her. Since she was eight, she has been forced into an early maturity, but in the middle of this story, she becomes a woman again. She ages like ten years, and it’s amazing. Dorian also ages, as he discovers a secret about himself. While there is less Dorian in this book, we see more facets to him that we weren’t able to see in Throne of Glass. We also see that some of the immaturity that Dorian has is not all through fault of his own when nearly everyone babies him. Chaol and Celaena neglect to tell him secrets and exclude him, and while sometimes it makes sense, he’ll only become more like a child if he treated like one. Despite this, Dorian is becoming a man, and I’m so excited what for happens at the end of that road. Chaol also develops as a character in that he actually becomes an emotional being, and it’s so great. He cried. He actually cried. It was so great, and while I won’t give away the reason as to why he let himself break down, I will say that I cried along with him (although I had already read the book).

Aside from the character development, which was pretty freaking awesome, there was a new character-Archer Finn. He’s pretty much the conflict of the whole story. Celaena is ordered to take him out by the King, and as the King’s Champion, she has to or everyone she loves will die pretty much. Anyway, Archer Finn’s a courtesan, which is a prostitute. He’s this incredibly sexy character, and he’s pretty much painted as the most desired man in Rifthold for his line of business. But he’s so deceptive, and as most as I absolutely hate him, I ADORE the way Maas wrote him.

My favorite part of this book was the last page, but DO NOT READ IT UNTIL YOU GET TO IT.

Honestly, this book was pretty amazing. The last 100 or so pages were filled with so much happening that nearly every sentence that I was reading, I had to re-read to make sure that I was actually reading what I read, even though I had already read the book.

If I could change one thing about this book, it would be the beginning, as it took a while for me to get sucked back into it. I’m not sure, though, if that’s due to my attitude or the writing, but regardless, I still felt it moving slow in the beginning.

I recommend this book, and I give it 4.5/5 stars! ...more
