*sigh* again, i need to stay away from romance books. know what my boyfriend looks like, hes a bit pudgy, head's a little big, normal voice. know what EVERY SINGLE BOY EVER IN ANY YOUNG ADULT BOOK IS!?!?! Chiseled chin, 8pack abs, deep smooth voice, perfect in every fucking way. over it!!! and to top it off, he is sexist as f**k. i get that he's a prince and was probably taught to look down on peeps, but seriously, it's not 1950 anymore. the "plot" was eh. i just couldn't focus sin ...more

Okay before I start my review, I need to say something. I'm not a book critic. I read books to leave reality, have fun, and enter magical worlds that can never be found in our depressingly-realistic world. I don't judge every mistake in a book. I rate a book 5 stars even if it wasn't breathtakingly perfect. A book, like normal humans, makes mistakes and I forgive All the authors that do mistakes, as long as their book isn't full of them.

I was super excited to read this book, since I've never read about mermaids before. The beginning immediately drew me in. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I found myself confused by the world at times. Also, Galen started to annoy me at times. By the end though, everything came together pretty good. Overall, I did enjoy it & it's a great summery read!

I've read some pretty annoying things in YA literature, but this book had the most annoying thing in it I have ever read. Whenever she said "Ohmysweetgoodness" I wanted to bash her face into a wall. AND SHE KEPT SAYING IT! OVER. AND OVER. AND OVER. AND OVER.
