When I first started this series, I wanted to love it, I really did. But then, I just couldn’t get into the world and everything was incredibly murky. City of Heavenly Fire was slightly better in that regard however. I mean, the descriptions of the ___ world were pretty good and I did feel slightly connected to the story. So overall, it was a decent end to a series that I didn’t really like.

I really don't get why people say Clary's annoying.She's not the best protagonist yes but I never found her annoying.

I almost cried when Clary stabbed Sebastian.(view spoiler)

I cannot believe the time has come for me to review City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. This book was everything I'd hoped it to be and more. It was so epic and no one can end a series while, at the same time, start a new one like Cassie Clare. This review will be all over the place. So many things happened and I apologize if I miss an event. That being said it is full of spoilers. You have been warned.

POSITIVES:
I really enjoyed this book! I loved how we got to see Edom and loved the cave setting. I really enjoyed scenes between the main 5 in this book but also fell in love with Emma and Julian and his family, which is great since the dark artifices is going to be all about them. The end of the Mortal Instruments...

Emma Carstairs (who will star in the next series, the Dark Artifacts) gets her own point of view. She grew up a Shadow Hunter and is already quite skilled with weapons. Her best friend is Julian Blackthorn. I liked all the Blackthorn, they already have unique personalities. (Ty reminds me of Sherlock)

In conclusion the book was amazing, my second favorite in the series. (Next to CoG). If you enjoyed the other books in the series you will enjoy this one, if your scared about this book being sad... No one super important dies, none of the main six. The book ends with all 3 ships happy and/or building themselves back up.
