this is one of those books that although I really enjoyed I was almost let down by after the hype. a new mythology that was unlike anything I had read before did surprise me however it felt a tad inconsistent at points. while I admit I did enter into this thinking it had something to do with beauty and the beasts I was of course very wrong (this is why most people read the blurb). where this book did fall down for me was with the main character, who personally I did not like, while she did grow ...more

wow ... just wow!
I never give 5 stars to a book unless the book is AMAZING ! and this one deserved every one of these 5 stars. What i loved the most about reading it was that it didnt make me feel like an idiot ... things made sense, and by things i mean reactions and how people act under pressure.. it was all just perfect!

Just as good the second time around. I re-listened because Miss Mayhem just released and I didn't want to be lost as to what was going on since I loved this book so much, and I'm glad I did. I had forgotten so many details. I love this book, and just Rachel Hawkins in general, she is such an amazing author who writes books that are such fun to read!!! ...more
