I just love this series. When I started reading this last night, I told myself "Ok I only have time to read 3 chapters because I'm exhausted and need to sleep" Yeah, 2.5 hours later, I was reading the last paragraph going "YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!" and then "YOU DID NOT JUST DO THAT TO ME! DON'T LEAVE IT HANGING LIKE THAT!!!" By then it was 2am and I was WIDE awake and all hyped up on having my dreams come true.

The main character Rose kind of reminds me of Alex in the Covenant series by Jennifer L. Arm ...more

I'm beginning to hope this whole series will stay on my 'best loved' list.

Omg, you don't know how it feels to read this. The way Richelle Mead writes is just amazing. I love it and I can't get enough of it. I think, but I don't hope, that this is going to be the best book in this series.

Ah. Yes. Do you remember Rose? The main character of Vampire Academy? She's still a kick-ass heroine. She does make irrational decisions in this book, but you can watch her develop and grow. It's very interestin I'm beginning to hope this whole series will stay on my 'best loved' list.

Ah. Yes. Do you remember Rose? The main character of Vampire Academy? She's still a kick-ass heroine. She does make irrational decisions in this book, but you can watch her develop and grow. It's very interesting to read about her life, from her point of view, and when she gets jealous? She doesn't show it, she wasn't annoying, as any other jealous girl would be. And Lissa and Christian? Oh, their relationship. I love it. Christian is just good for Lissa and Lissa is good for Christian. Yea, some people may not ship them, but I ship them 100%. Like seriously? They're adorable together, well... maybe I shouldn't say "adorable", but, they're just fit for each other.

Something that sucked was that I could predict the near death of someone towards the end of the book. Very obvious after he barged in trying to protect the one he loved. Aside from that, I couldn't predict much, everything was basically unpredictable. Also, we meet Adrian in this book. For the love of candy, I am in love with him. I'm pretty sure if they get in a relationship, it won't last, because she has Dimitri...And, seriously? NO LOVE TRIANGLES PLEASE.

Remember? We meet Janine Hathaway, and if it isn't already obvious enough from Janine's last name, she's Rose's mother. Yea, their relationship isn't all that friendly, nor is it really cold. It's just, they're strangers who love to fight. Remember? Rose's mother/Janine and Rose gets into physical fights and verbal arguments a lot. The way Mead writes this part is very....emotional. I really felt a pain in my chest even though I've never experienced my mother hating me/leaving me. And then, when her mother pulls Rose into her arms, I cried of joy. It's very emotional, you experience feelings you've never experienced in reading this book.

This, again, went immediately to my "Best Loved" shelf. I just love it so much! The feelings you get when reading this novel is simply fantastic! Obviously, going to read the next book, Shadow Kiss, soon! ...more

I really really liked this book! 4 / 5 stars!

I loved jumping back into this world that I'd barley touched last summer. I remebered the basics of VA but not the whole story. Which is why I loved Richelle Mead's writing. The first couple pages were a summary of the previous events in the first book. I was grateful for this because I remebered everything after reading that. There were also parts later in the book where if someone was mentioned from the first book, Mead would write a paragraph to qu I really really liked this book! 4 / 5 stars!

There were also parts later in the book where if someone was mentioned from the first book, Mead would write a paragraph to quickly summarize that character and their role in the story. I loved that.

This book was pretty fast paced. I flew through it and loved the action scenes at the end. Mead does a great job of describing the scenes where everything takes place. Also, the climax of the book isn't long and dragged out which I can't stand. It happens and theres a resolution. This usually happens within the course of a couple chapters.

Rose is pretty far up my list of kick ass female protagonists. She's so strong and willing to do anything to protect those she loves. She also doesn't sit back and take everything thatms thrown at her like a lot of main characters do. If she disagrees with something, she'll tell you and she'll make sure you understand just how upset she is. I loved her snarky comentary and her seriousness in the right situations.

Lissa is just kind of there for me. I feel absolutley nothing when it comes to her. I don't hate her at all. I just feel like she needs to be a little stronger and stop relying on Rose.

Dimitri Belikov is pure perfection. He is so sweet and caring and possibly the most protective boyfriend a girl could have. He connects with Rose in a way no one else does. I feel like leading Mason on was stupid of Rose. If she wanted him she should have went for it. Especially when it was quite obvious he felt the same way.

We get introduced to Adrian Ivashkov in this book. (Am I the only one who absolutley loves the last names in this series? They're so fun to say!) I really enjoyed his character. Though he didn't play a huge role in this book, but I adored him nonetheless.

I really like how this series is developing. In the first book, the major problem is Victor and his need for Lissa to keep him young. Now the threat expands to so much more. If you're iffy about this series I recommend to keep going because it gets much better.

Rose Hathaway is a seventeen year old guardian. As soon as she hit eighteen she will graduate from the academy and get assigned to her Moroi, Lissa (who is also her best friend). Along with Rose, Lissa will have another guardian Dimitri, who is also Rose’s mentor. As we learned in the first book about Rose’s and Dimitri’s inappropriate relationship and how it cannot happen, because they are both responsible to protect Lissa after she graduates from the academy. Yet old feelings do not die easy or soon. With Rose crushing hard on Dimtri, she’s missing someone who would die out of love for her. Mason. With Mason chasing Rose, and Rose along with our new character Tasha (Christian’s aunt) chasing after Dimitri. With that love trinagel not even Christian and Lissa’s happy relationship goes well as things go from hot, to cold real fast. Our other new character Adrian Ivashkov (another royal with a bad rep) seems to mix in just to cause trouble. This is definitely not a place to have a relaxing break.

Richelle Mead once again transfixes us in this Moroi world. This book again gives you glimpse of Lissa’s life from her view. Yet for this part you realize why it’s not always a good thing. With this book it brings out new characters that you need to think twice about. Adrian Ivashkov creates goose bumps on your back, but are they good or bad? Lissa’s and Christians relationship makes you cry out in love for them. No matter what happens with Rose and Dimitri, no matter how cute they are; all I think is pedo. He’s 24, she’s 17. That is definitely a pedo age gap for them. There is an unexpected death at the end that makes you cry out and scream. It’s unfair, it’s cruel. Yet the death also shows you the love the person felt for another. I only wish that someone could have returned the favour. ...more

I really enjoyed Frostbite. I'm not sure yet if it was better than the first book in the Vampire Academy series but I very much liked it. I found it exciting and dangerous. It was also quite emotional but I managed to keep it together quite well. ...more
