I kept having Deja Vu as I read this book. I know I've never read it before but I was just so familiar! I finally figured it out. (I'm so proud!) It's similar to a book I read in Junior High, See You Later by Christopher Pike. Now, I can't tell you how similar they are as it has been (quite) a while since I read it. But if you like this book, maybe you should try that book. (and Vice versa).

All Our Yesterday's starts with Em in the future, in prison. (Thankfully she's only imprisoned for like 20 I kept having Deja Vu as I read this book. I know I've never read it before but I was just so familiar! I finally figured it out. (I'm so proud!) It's similar to a book I read in Junior High, See You Later by Christopher Pike. All Our Yesterday's starts with Em in the future, in prison. (Thankfully she's only imprisoned for like 20 pages, because I hate that sort of thing.) Her parts were frustrating because there is a lot that she's purposely not telling us. We get a little tease at a time. But it wasn't all bad, because she's not alone. I liked her funny friend Finn who lived in the cell next to her. It quickly got exciting and then we switched to the past.

Normally I'd be bored by Marina's chapters but after Em's bleak and dark story, it was a refreshing change. I didn't particularly like her. She's a bit entitled. The child of rich parents who are never home. She's too interested in being cool to her new 'friends'.

We soon meet Finn again. It's interesting seeing him in the past, especially through Em's eyes, since she doesn't like him because he gets between her and her crush, James. I personally didn't see the appeal in James. I know we're seeing him at his worst but I just don't like the guy. He doesn't "see" her and his temper tantrums are scary.

There are supposed to be several big twists, but it's entirely predictable. I saw everything coming from the start.

The time travel itself was just okay. It was a bit confusing. The whole "time is sentient and certain things could become a fixed event" didn't make a lot of sense. But I was able to ignore it and enjoy the book.

I was afraid that the ending would be disappointing, (or worse unhappy) but I was mostly satisfied with how things wrapped up. Could it have been more epic? Yes, it was a little underwhelming but overall I liked it. Like the whole book it was good, but not great.
