It has been nigh two decades since I last read this book, and it still retains its charm. In fact, I'd even say the charm is enhanced with time, at least for me... and with the skill of the narrator. I remember when I was young, thinking there were two types of people in the world--people who loved the Hobbit but had a hard time tackling the Lord of the Rings, and people who loved the trilogy, but slogged through the Hobbit.
