A weak follow-up to The Faithful Spy. The main character, John Wells, could have been in a hospital for the entire length of this book and it wouldn't have changed the plot much at all. It was a plot in search of a way to use its main character...and it never found what it searched for. ...more

I'm going to postpone reading/listening to this. I borrowed the audio book from the library and a lot of CDs have scratches. I wish some of the borrowers would be more careful.

An excellent sequel to Berensons first novel. The main character is surly and grouchy, but is a special forces/cia type of super hero who comes through at the end.

I recommend this book if you like these types of books.

Berenson closes the book, leaving the door wide, wide open for book three.

Shelves: crime-mystery-thriller-suspense, audio, read-2008

Maybe not quite as good as the first book in the series, but a really good modern espionage tale. Listened to the audio version read by George Guidall.
