A weak follow-up to The Faithful Spy. The main character, John Wells, could have been in a hospital for the entire length of this book and it wouldn't have changed the plot much at all. It was a plot in search of a way to use its main character...and it never found what it searched for.

I'm going to postpone reading/listening to this. I borrowed the audio book from the library and a lot of CDs have scratches. I wish some of the borrowers would be more careful.

I liked this book, but I don't think it measures up to the other John Wells novels.

Maybe not quite as good as the first book in the series, but a really good modern espionage tale. Listened to the audio version read by George Guidall.
