Shelves: good-nonfiction
Superbly documented and finely-grained in detail. A dry and sterile treatise as all such books are; that's certainly true. But the sober, meticulous tone is refreshing when--as you will find here--it is matched by a proper level of research. You rarely see that, believe me. Such lurid material (assassinations, kidnappings, listening posts, etc) is for once--in this book--handled with the seriousness which it deserves, rather than with sensationalism.
