This ill-bred work of nonfiction gets off to a bad start; by recounting to us the origins of the term 'assassin'. This, as a way to introduce us to the techniques of Stalin's international GPU agents. Not very promising; rather amateurish in tone and feel. Thankfully, the text picks up the pace and provides a raft of more tactile facts --innumerable names, dates, times, places--to bolster the writer's high-pitched accusations--and that is definitely good, that is the reason for anyone to read th ...more
