This was ok. I already knew a lot about Philby so it was not as exciting as MacIntyre's - Traitor and Spy, for example. I found myself disliking Philby as a person the more acquainted I became with him and as the book progressed. A serial betrayer of his friends, even his fellow traitors, right up until the end then.
