What Members Thought

There are very few authors I re-read repeatedly; Ross Thomas is one of them. Each book is a lesson in careful craftsmanship. Reading Thomas reminds me to keep it simple but make each line interesting.
This is not one of his best, in my opinion, (the somewhat contrived plot takes a while to get off the ground) but even his weaker ones are enjoyable for the dry, ironic style.
