Shelves: genre-thrillers
Even some of the top thriller authors known to lead the genre can --more often as not--simply never get the 'nuclear terror' formula correct. No one knows why. For whatever reason, very few have ever done a good job when it comes to the mixture of nukes, terrorists, and Europe. It usually just doesn't work.

Frederick Forsythe attempted it with 'The Fourth Protocol' and fell flat. LeCarre never even bothered to take it on (too lurid). Adam Hall, perhaps? (I'm still working through his bibliograph
