Loved this darker spin on a fairytale (The Little Mermaid). I really enjoyed the main characters, particularly how badass Lira was, as well as her character development *chef kiss*. The Prince was just as good, I adore morally grey characters and he certainly was, if sometimes a little on the clean side (we all like a bad boy, don't judge).
There was plenty of action and lore involved in this story and surprisingly well balanced, which made it an easy and exciting read.
