This is gonna be a simple review…
Adam Kent should've been eaten by a dinosaur. Aaron Warner should’ve jumped through the book and kissed or killed me, either one would’ve been fine in my book as long as it was by him. Kenji is both my husband and best friend, everyone else can have Aaron and especially Adam, if that’s what you’re into but Kenji and I are already married so let me be in denial in peace. And last but not least Juliette, oh baby is this girl gonna be either a great villain or “supe

Well shit. Now I gotta read the second book.

I'm hooked, people. The end of the world? You better your ass I'm gonna read that book. A partly depressed and crazy protagonist? Yay! i relate. A romance aspect to the story? Sign me upppp!

The book was in my opinion, not the best first-in-a-series, just because there wasn't enough action, other than the situation Juliette is in, there was nothing that pulled me to her as a person and I'm not a hardcore shipper of Adam and her yet, but it was still e

2.5 Stars

Found it difficult at first to get into the book as I didn't like the writing style. The constant repetition of sentences and crossed out words dried out the story for me.

But once I got into the plot of the story, I didn't pay as much attention to what I disliked about it.

The most redeeming part of the book was the characters, Warner especially. He was one of the reasons I want to keep reading the series, to get to know the character better and learn more about him.

Actually really enjoyed this book. Was nostalgic and reminded me of Divergent or Hunger Games or Maze Runner or any of the other books I used to love at 14. I was interested the whole way through and though sometimes confusing the writing on the whole was great.

Lost a star for me because the romance was too rushed and forced. I would have preferred a slow burn.

The Darklina vibes that I am getting from Juliette and Warner?!?!
