I almost dnf about 50% but pushed through for book club discussion. Romance gave me the ick. Juvenile writing and characters.

Very disappointed Aaron Warner did not meet the expectations placed on him, everyone has him on a pedestal and he is just not it. Psycho, obsessive killer should not be romanticized. I do love the plot and storyline so I want to find out more and see if his character develops but he did not make it onto my book boyfriend list, he’s actually on the opposite, I really don’t know why he is overly hyped. It feels like stockholm syndrome.
I’m not a fan of dystopian because they all pretty much have the same plot, this was no different. I did really enjoy it though, and I think I’m going to like the rest of the series much better!
This felt like a mix of x-men/ Divergent/ ACOTAS but not in a bad way?
