"Life right now is easier than breathing."
I'm smiling with my whole goddamn body. First of all, I love all enemies to lovers, but I love these kinda even more. If there had been hate sex involved I'd probably have screamed with delight. Helene was the biggest mood when she laughed and just *knew*. This whole book just consisted of my grinning maniacally at the pages. I'm absolutely FILLED with delight.
Lucy is incredible. Her inner monologue is 10/10, her arguments with Josh just give me life. ...more

me, myself and I: that’s so romantic!!!!!!!
pretty much some good old-fashioned workplace enemies to lovers… yes that's my favorite trope and I'll never get tired of it! nothing innovative but cute nonetheless (i'd probably rate higher if hadn't read the spanish love deception this year because it was simply perfection. sorry not a fair comparison ...more

We get it, Lucy is a teeny tiny itty bitty baby who falls in love with a big bad man. We don’t need to be reminded every 2 pages about how short she is. Also, what’s with Lucy overly objectifying/sexualizing Joshua to the point where it makes both the character and the reader super uncomfortable?
1.5/5 stars because I was able to finish the book (even though I had to take multiple breaks due to some moments being way too cringey)
