Let me just say that this is not the book for you if you're the impatient sort who likes an action-packed pace from the get go. It's a slow burner, but seeing as how I'm such a sap for slow character and plot development, I absolutely loved it.
The ending was a little (and I mean really really really little) anticlimactic but it's only because I was devouring the last pages like a stupid person. The main character, Evie, I have to say is now one of my favorite characters in YA lit. She's s ...more

So the reason I only gave The Diviners four stars instead of five is because of how convoluted it is. I loved it, of course I did, it's awesome, but I'm not a fan of reading from multiple POVs, and certainly not as many as The Diviners has to offer.
