Let me just say that this is not the book for you if you're the impatient sort who likes an action-packed pace from the get go. It's a slow burner, but seeing as how I'm such a sap for slow character and plot development, I absolutely loved it.

So the reason I only gave The Diviners four stars instead of five is because of how convoluted it is. I loved it, of course I did, it's awesome, but I'm not a fan of reading from multiple POVs, and certainly not as many as The Diviners has to offer.

I actually started reading The Diviners several years ago, but couldn't get past the epically long prologue. Then my interest in the 1920s sparked and I picked up The Diviners once again. I may be guilty of some minor skimming, but I think we all are
