This is an awesome and beautifully written book. The prose are wonderfully constructed and I spent extra time re-reading many passages for the sheer joy of it. I became heavily invested in each main character and thought I knew what they were going through; their struggles and joy became mine, too. Oh, I didn't want it to end! I'll be reading this again from time to time!

Excellent book! This novel was a welcome change of pace. It was much slower than the novels I usually read, however I believe this added to the charm of the story. So glad that mostly everything worked out for the best in the end. It was by no means a fairy tale ending, but it definitely was a very true ending. I would absolutely recommend this book!

Stedman had me intrigued from the beginning. I enjoyed learning all the detail about lighthouses. A slight lull in the middle but then towards the end it captured all my attention. Well written overall.
Although I could see outcomes miles away, and I was a bit disappointed in the nicely wrapped up ending, it was an enjoyable read.
Beautiful. Read it.
