Well, I'm definitely getting pulled in to this series, but still have held over feelings of anger and manipulation by Carson from the previous book.
The sense deprivation, especially with the earplugs was, wow! I could hear my own breath and heartbeat echoing in my head as I imagined being cut off from all sounds but my own while going through something so intense.

I'm pretty sure this series is going to frustrate me right to the end. I love it. I love the professor... He's mysterious and getting a handle on what he's thinking and what he really wants is partly why I love this series. I just can't figure him out.

James embarks once again on a relationship with Carson. This time with his own set of boundaries. You can see that Carson thinks that James has returned to HIM, not just to the BDSM. James truly believes that Carson only sees him as a sexual partner, nothing more. It was clear to me that Carson feels a lot more for James then he's openly admitted.
