Oh Victor, Victor, Victor you poor dear! It’s fun to finally get to see a little bit of the nastiness that was Camp Hell. Of course I love Vic’s inner voice and seeing things through his eyes. He’s such a twisty mess of things. Jacob is so patient dealing with all of Vic’s drama without freaking out, but yet prodding him to open up more. Really enjoyed this story yet again.

It's funny, JCP says she didn't know who was reporting to the FPMP until 2/3 of the way through the book, but I was convinced that I knew who it was long before that, and I was right. Maybe, as in the previous book, I'm just too jaded.
I love learning more about Vic's time at Camp Hell, and even more about his abilities, and their growth as he learns more. One of the stronger books in the series, despite Vic again being a little more naive than his experience might dictate. At this point, I'm exp ...more

Vic is <3. No wonder Jacob is head over heels for him.
The thing I've enjoyed most about these books is the growing and deepening relationship between Vic and Jacob and watching Vic come into himself after all the trauma he's been through. He's whip smart and knows how to protect himself, but he's so much more than that, too.
