Wonderful fantasy adventure with a delish romance. I totally dug it, but my review is hella biased for these reasons:

1) It’s based on my story prompt for the M/M Romance Group's Love Has No Boundaries story event. I love adventure romances so jumped at providing a prompt for one (and loved pointing to some awesome art from the Japanese shounen ai light novel series Flesh and Blood.) This was sweet in a pirate sort of way. I really liked Julian and watching him find his strength. He's struggled his entire life with being sickly and yet getting sent to the beach to recuperate is the best thing for him. I loved the blend of a feeling of historical England with the fantasy world. Dragons and imps and pixies and the like always make me smile. They were fun anecdotal characters in this story.

4.6 stars! I absolutely loved this! It's so nice when one is pleasantly surprised by a writers ability to produce a story that is fun, sexy, and had me wishing for it not to end. Wonderful, magical story. I love the wording. "Choosing a round of seeded bread, a small pot of strawberry jam..." flavors the text like a English fantasy book should. Impressive considering how little time the author had to write this.

I adore Julian. I love the scene where he says "Look at me."

Good action, danger, peril, nursing back to health kind of thing.

The other reviewers said the imps were awesome and yeah, they were.

I like that the ending was romantic but also practical.
