This book is wonderfully written, full of vivid descriptions, many different themes, and the all-around wonder that makes it an interesting book. Many of the themes, such as Female Perspective, Cultural Shock, Religion, and Literary Devices, help people understand the book better, as well as what is going on. They open a portal into our minds, allowing us to question "What if....?" or "How come....?". It also displays the workings of the human mind.

I am not fully completed with this book, but so far it is a great book. This book is about a family, which got to the Congo to spread their religion. The family is about a wife, Orleanna Price, his daughters, Leah, Ruth May, Rachel, and Adah Price, and the father/husband Nathan Price. Their father is a Baptist, which he is also a racist and makes his family think the same way he does. As they are in the Congo, they get culture shocked, when they see that people in the Congo look different, act,

The author opens your mind to allow us to ask many questions such as “What if? Or what would happen next?” This book makes you feel like you are right inside the book with the charters. I loved this book so much. I recommend this book to children of all ages. This book inspired me to go do research on Africa and maybe even visit the continent some day.I enjoyed all the themes, and how Barbara Kingsolver showed readers the whole entire journey of the Price family. The action in the story begins early and it never ends from there. At first I kept saying "I can't read this book", but then all of a sudden I began enjoying it. I am definetly going to read this story again.

The Poisonwood Bible was an interesting book that uses many themes and combines it to make it intriguing. The book though is very long and would take you a while if you’re a slow reader. It might be boring first 100 pages but gets a whole lot better as the 4 girls age. It should have a lot of personal life to book connections which made smile thinking about it. In total if you was willing to read The Poisonwood Bible it is worth it, but be careful and take your time reading it.

This book had a great insight on different female perspectives from different ages and points. The Price family, the main characters of this novel, goes to the Congo for a missionary and they have to adapt to the new life style they are in now. The different voices in this book makes the reader understand more what is going on in each individuals' heads. Ruth May is one of the funnier characters because of how she sees things would make the reader laugh.

At first I really did not like this book. The beginning is not catching to me but as I read it it can relate to many books I read like Things Fall Apart. The harsh treatment the father “Nathan Price” acts towards his family was terrible and stubborn. I will recommend this book to a person that wants to now the reverse side of a white race in a all black community.

This is a beautiful book that sucks you in emotionally. I became very interested in the stories and characters and the conflicts that happened in this book. It is a touching story and heartbreaking at times. It gave me an outlook that I otherwise may hvae never even considered. I recommend this to anyone who has the time and patience to get into it

"The Poisonwood Bible" tells the story of the Price girls and their mother who, forced by the father and priest Nathan Price, go on a missionary journey to the Congo. Nathan Price felt like it was his moral responsibility to stay and "help" the people of the Congo. This novel is told in four different perspectives so often one will find themselves reading a situation twice, but that is one of the things I loved about the book is that one can know what the others are thinking. Throughout this nov

I finally finished reading the book. It is very well written with great descriptions of the Congo. It feels like I'm in the Congo with them. This book is filled with Religion, LIterary Devices, Culture Shock, and female perspective. This book has 5 different female perspective, the mother, Orleanna, and her daughters, Rachel, Adah, Leah, and Ruth May. I thought this book was more interesting than I thought it would be. Usually I wouldn't read this book because it is not my type but I am happy i

If it wasn't because i had to I would have NEVER!!! read this book. The details of the book made the book feel ling and boring. The novel is told by 5 female perspectives, four daughter and there mom. They move from the hometown in Georgia to a country in Africa call The Congo. Most of the girls hate it at first. Some of them don;t express their feelings as much as the others. But as they start adjusting to the Congo they get use to it. I seriously taught this book was going to be boring the min

The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it--from garden seeds to Scripture is calamitously transformed on African soil.

This book is so boring. I honestly don't want to read this book but I have to but I like reading this book from Rachel and Ruth's perspective. They make it more interesting for me and the rest are just too boring. Adah even though she's very smart i feel like she has no idea what she's saying.

This book was okay but I really didn't like it. It was about a family that moves to africa. It had alot of literary devices throughout. If it wasn't mandatory I probably wouldn't read it.

This book is taking me a while to read because it's not that interesting to me. It is still a great book to read. It contains a lot of cultral shock and imagery. It is about a family that moves to Congo because of their father who is cold-hearted priest.
