I've seen people reading this book on the train, noses pressed so close to the pages, I thought they were inhaling, absorbing the characters, the plot, the action, and the dialogue. I found myself reading the same way, for the book's plot itself had me wrapped around it.

Reading this well-written book was like staring at a knot, assessing it, then slowly making progress to unravel it. As the book went on, secrets were uncovered by the protagonist, Amir. Sudden twists in the story grabbed my wande

Set in Afghanistan and the United States, "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini is a compelling story. It is a book with many aspects of a tragic hero and such components are brotherly love, betrayal and redemption; a tragic hero from the novel can be the protagonist, Amir. Hosseini did an excellent job in describing the settings of Afghanistan in 1975 and 2001, and modern-day United States. This book is a realistic fiction novel and I personally think Hosseini did the best job in emphasizing thi ...more

I enjoyed this book a lot. I think the book started out boring (like all books), so I decided to watch the movie to motivate me to finish. Of course, the book was extremely better than the movie. This book showed me that love can overcome all and to always have faith. Amir (the main character) gets very lost in his tracks, but once he grows up he knows what he really wanted in his life; he finds out that fear cannot bring happiness. You can’t run away from your problems. So I recommend this book ...more

There were parts where i just put the book down and wondered when am i going to finish but really it was a good book as i kept reading. It is a very powerful and inspiring book.

The book title "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini is a great book telling us about the strength of friendship and the great mistakes, which a man can make in his life causing him to suffer greatly until he finds the opportunity to pay his debt. It teaches how even the most devilish acts, which we done in the past can be repaid and then forgiven. There also is a chance for us to clean our conscience and relief our selves from the suffering. ...more

This book is a very strong book, it pulls at her heart. It about a man and his past and how it effects his future. He has a best friend and something so terrible happen to him but it could have been prevented if the main character just helped him. But that didn't stop their friendship. And a war force both boys into a path. This is a must read book. It about how it's never too late to make up forgiveness. I highly recommend to read this book, you won't regret it. ...more

Khaled Hosseini tells a riveting tale of redemption, love, and forgiveness in a heartbreaking story that you must read! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel while reading this in English class and was eager to turn the page each time I opened this book. The book is perfect for analyzing because it contains many symbols and themes that are open for interpretation. I highly recommend this book for any reader!

In this novel there are many instances of brotherly relationships between the main characters. There is also parts where the relationships between people are ruined because of things they do. This novel takes place in Afghanistan. I would recommend this book to those of you who likes to read about relationships between people and as they go on in life. This is overall a great book.

In The Kite Runner, Amir and Hassan grow up together in Afghanistan like brothers, although they couldn't be more different. Amir is the son of a wealthy businessman, a Sunni Muslim, a Pashtun, and he's educated and reads a lot . Hassan's father is a servant to Amir's father, and Hassan is a Sh'ia Muslim, a Hazara, he's illiterate, and he has a harelip. ...more

This book made readers almost like hungry for more, the elements used in the novel were redeption, imagery, and egde of seat moments. Redeption plays a big part in the book, whether its from Baba getting redemed or Amir. The story a certain point just gets the reader not wanting to put it down espicially within the last 50 pages.

The Kite Runner is a novel that will explain a lot about friendship, betrayal and relationships that happen in reality. I currently am reading this novel. The Kite Runner is an attention grabber. Its speaks of situations that people hesitate to learn about but in a way it is easy to understand. I will recommend this book to young teens and adults that believe harsh things could not happen to people and teens that also do not have an understanding of how friendship can be. I am st

A intriguing novel of loyalty, redemption and family, The Kite Runner depicts the story of Amir and Hassan from the free Afghanistan that they know, to an unfamiliar, Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. This story exemplifies life lessons that can be learned by any reader. It teaches of the betrayal that can spring from a steadfast friendship. It teaches one to never underestimate or discriminate against a person because of where they are from or who they are. Khaled Hosseini does an incredible job with ...more

This book was very good but at some points I would think why is this happening to Hassan or why did Amir do this. I really don't like when books have me confused. It irritates me very much. I didn't like Amir because he was a punk. Hassan was great I feel horrible for everything that amir made him go through. ...more
