I've seen people reading this book on the train, noses pressed so close to the pages, I thought they were inhaling, absorbing the characters, the plot, the action, and the dialogue. I found myself reading the same way, for the book's plot itself had me wrapped around it.
Reading this well-written book was like staring at a knot, assessing it, then slowly making progress to unravel it. As the book went on, secrets were uncovered by the protagonist, Amir. Sudden twists in the story grabbed my wande ...more

This book has a certain catch. You may get bored but youd keep reading. The book had made a bad impression in the first 50 pages but once you read past that point the story grabs you attention. It hooks on with suspense. Sadness and happiness in all have been all over the book. Moments where the reader could see that they have some problems and moments where the reader is relaxed by the enviornment the author puts you in. Also, after you read to the middle you will find that Amir is very happy a

The Kite Runner is a marvelous book. Taking place in Afghanistan a boy name Amir has a different look towards almost everything. His friend Hassan or maybe more than a friend has be there for him no matter what. They would read books together, they would hit the neighbors dog with Hassan's slingshot and they would fly kites any chance they could get. In any friendship or relationship for that matter has it's curve. Amir and Hassan had won the kite running contest and Hassan went off to get the l

One should not judge a book by it's cover and "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini is just that kind of book. Sure at first you just want to reads it because of the flashy letters (at least that's how I felt) but then another cool book comes and you just leave it behind. But, trust me don't give up on it until you are on page 200 and I can assure you that by that time you will not want to put the book down for a moment. In this book betrayal is found many times and irony with foreshadowing is us

Set in Afghanistan and the United States, "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini is a compelling story. It is a book with many aspects of a tragic hero and such components are brotherly love, betrayal and redemption; a tragic hero from the novel can be the protagonist, Amir. Hosseini did an excellent job in describing the settings of Afghanistan in 1975 and 2001, and modern-day United States. This book is a realistic fiction novel and I personally think Hosseini did the best job in emphasizing thi

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini may be one of the greatest books to involve friendship, catharsis, and major plot twisters. When reading this novel the reader will feel as if going through several emotions at once due to the different interruptions made throughout the whole book. This book takes place in Afghanistan during a major conflict Soviet invasion. The main protagonist of the novel is Amir, who is a rich Pashtun boy whose only friend is his Hazara servant Hassan. Amir also narrates th

I really enjoyed this book. At the beginning I was not sure because it was not my type of book. But I actually liked it. The fact of one’s loyalty can be so thick and endless to the end is amazing. This book will show you a friendship between two boys Hassan and Amir. A son who wants to feel love, something so dreadful that one eyes wish not to come upon and to top this all a secret that one kept throughout so many years. But you always can remember one can be good again.

Wow. This book is a really good because it has a lot of suspense and many edge of the seats moments. I love the way how the author puts local coloring in almost every chapter of the book. It makes the book easier to understand and your able to create a imagery. Another thing that I love about this book is that it makes you really think about the word Love. It shows who is really going to be there when you fall to the bottom, and need a helping hand. Will it always be your loved ones who pick you

When I first got “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini, I didn’t want to read it. It looked too big and I thought it was going to be another boring book. I started reading it to do my DEJ’s and I couldn’t put it down. I kept reading it because it became my new favorite book. It had so much detail within every line. The description of what was going on was brilliant, there were literature devices through out every page and every time I read the book, there was an image in my head because of how we

The Kite Runner is a novel that will explain a lot about friendship, betrayal and relationships that happen in reality. I currently am reading this novel. The Kite Runner is an attention grabber. Its speaks of situations that people hesitate to learn about but in a way it is easy to understand. I will recommend this book to young teens and adults that believe harsh things could not happen to people and teens that also do not have an understanding of how friendship can be. I am st ...more

At first, when my English teacher assigned this book, and I had only read the first hundred pages, I thought it was a real drag. However, after finishing it, I take it all back. I feel that I can empathize a few of this book's characters. Especially the main character, Amir. This book makes one feel a vortex of emotions when read consistently. It made me feel pride, joy, suspense, pity, guilt, and despair all in one night. I'm glad I read this book and got a grade for it. I recommend it to all y

I love this book because it allowed me to see the different perspectives of children in Afghanistan. I could not believe how Amir was so selfish and didn't even care about Hassan. Hassan would give his life for Amir, but Amir would probably never do that. Hassan was my favorite character because of how much he devoted himself Amir.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading a great plot. Also, the way the author used different techniques to make the book relate to the lives of ordin ...more

From this book I learn how to give value to a person that really love you. also this book show us every hard time that the characters past for example the rape, Baba and Hassan death and Sohrab the orphan son of Hassan. this book have a movie. i suggest that you read the book first and them watch the movie.Because the movie doest give you that much of details this book is every interesting. i love this book.

This book was very good but at some points I would think why is this happening to Hassan or why did Amir do this. I really don't like when books have me confused. It irritates me very much. I didn't like Amir because he was a punk. Hassan was great I feel horrible for everything that amir made him go through.
