This book was amazing! I couldn't even put it down. My mom had to take it away from me once. It's a book on friend-ship, loyalty,coward-characteristic, fatherhood and much more. Amir, the main character lives his whole life in the shadows of his past. No matter how much he tries to run away it's still there behind him. This past follows him mostly because of the fact of a guilt that won't leave him alone. He had a friend named Hassan who was not of the same ethnicity as he was but they shared a ...more

This book has a certain catch. You may get bored but youd keep reading. The book had made a bad impression in the first 50 pages but once you read past that point the story grabs you attention. It hooks on with suspense. Sadness and happiness in all have been all over the book. Moments where the reader could see that they have some problems and moments where the reader is relaxed by the enviornment the author puts you in. Also, after you read to the middle you will find that Amir is very happy a ...more

The Kite Runner is a marvelous book. Taking place in Afghanistan a boy name Amir has a different look towards almost everything. His friend Hassan or maybe more than a friend has be there for him no matter what. They would read books together, they would hit the neighbors dog with Hassan's slingshot and they would fly kites any chance they could get. In any friendship or relationship for that matter has it's curve. Amir and Hassan had won the kite running contest and Hassan went off to get the l ...more

One should not judge a book by it's cover and "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini is just that kind of book. Sure at first you just want to reads it because of the flashy letters (at least that's how I felt) but then another cool book comes and you just leave it behind. But, trust me don't give up on it until you are on page 200 and I can assure you that by that time you will not want to put the book down for a moment. In this book betrayal is found many times and irony with foreshadowing is us ...more

When I first started reading this book, I thought I was going to die. I’m the type of person that if a book is boring it will take me forever to finish it, but after hearing so much about it and people telling me to read because it would be worth it, I set all negative feelings aside and focused on reading this. About 40-50 pages into the book, I was hooked. I enjoyed reading it so much and it really made me think. It is one of those books that I will never forget. Reading it was such a complete ...more

I really enjoyed this book. At the beginning I was not sure because it was not my type of book. But I actually liked it. The fact of one’s loyalty can be so thick and endless to the end is amazing. This book will show you a friendship between two boys Hassan and Amir. A son who wants to feel love, something so dreadful that one eyes wish not to come upon and to top this all a secret that one kept throughout so many years. But you always can remember one can be good again.

This book is one of my favorite books that my teachers has assigned. Amir and Hassan are living in Afghanistan and are very good friends. They both have a great bond with each other and it covers the topic of brotherly love. This book also covers strong topics that people can relate to in real life. The author Khaled Hosseini uses many literary devices such as flashbacks and many more. I would recommend this book to anyone.

When I first got “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini, I didn’t want to read it. It looked too big and I thought it was going to be another boring book. I started reading it to do my DEJ’s and I couldn’t put it down. I kept reading it because it became my new favorite book. It had so much detail within every line. The description of what was going on was brilliant, there were literature devices through out every page and every time I read the book, there was an image in my head because of how we ...more

One of the most reachable books I have read in a long time. This author did a great job on touching people’s heart where no book has ever gone. This book you can write many essays about it and it will stay in our hearts forever.

At first, when my English teacher assigned this book, and I had only read the first hundred pages, I thought it was a real drag. However, after finishing it, I take it all back. I feel that I can empathize a few of this book's characters. Especially the main character, Amir. This book makes one feel a vortex of emotions when read consistently. It made me feel pride, joy, suspense, pity, guilt, and despair all in one night. I'm glad I read this book and got a grade for it. I recommend it to all y ...more

I love this book because it allowed me to see the different perspectives of children in Afghanistan. I could not believe how Amir was so selfish and didn't even care about Hassan. Hassan would give his life for Amir, but Amir would probably never do that. Hassan was my favorite character because of how much he devoted himself Amir.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes reading a great plot. Also, the way the author used different techniques to make the book relate to the lives of ordin

I saw the movie last week. It is a great movie. It helps me a lot to understand the book. Now I’m on Page 84. Amir has the holiday and he is going to Jalalabad with his father, Rahim khan and some family members. Amir feels car sickness on the road and he threw up on his cousin’s dress. He feels that is the most terrible moment in his life and that makes him think about the Hassan.

And about the Hassan
