I should say this book is impressive.
The main character Amir was a coward who betrayed the Hassan, who laterly was found out he was the brother of Amir.
The best part that I like the most was the part that talks about how Amir betrayed Hassan. I was sad for both of them. You can't blame a coward to be selfish, or expect a royal servent to stand up and against his master.

Just when I thought that the tradegy of Hassan could be stoped, his son, Sorab became the next character of the sad story.

The kite runner is an amazing book. When I read the book sometimes it makes me cry. Also in so many parts I think I have so many things similar to the characters. For example when the characters have the kite and they go out and run with the kite. I really didn’t like the part where hassin got rape. In the book I think Hossian was the only person because even though he was Amir Brother, he wasn’t respond as Amir Brother. He was known as Amir Servant son. Also at a point Amir gets lonely too. This book by Khaled Hosseini takes place in Pakistan. Two boys named Amir and Hassan were like brother in the fact that they were best friends. Hassan’s family was the servant of Amir’s which consisted of him and his father Baba. Throughout the book, Baba finds Hassan to be more “manly” then Amir. On one of Amir’s birthdays, Amir hides his birthday present under Hassan’s bed so he could get in trouble. As a result of that Hassan and his father get kicked out and fired. Years later when Amir is ...more

Thios is a spectacular story. I feel that this book had some topics that were hard to read because they make you want to shout and say something. Amir and Hassan's friendship take you on a journey in the begining. Amir got me mad though. All Im going to say is that he could have been a better friend to Hassan. He could have done more to help with some sitautions. there were some OMG (oh my god) No way! moments in the book. I recommand everyone to read this book as well. ...more

Amazing first shot out of the gate. I was reading Linda's comments and how she called it the most disturbing work since A Boy Called It and Night. You might notice how Hosseini actually stole an entire scene from Night's train death scene/oil tanker aftermath almost verbatim.

Still, one of the best books on several levels. Definitely a modern-day classic of redemption, brotherly love the authors' playful mastery of irony and other literary devices as well as the multiple psyche of human nature.

This book has many horrific moments. I think that Hosseini has many problems with rape or sexual harassments. It's incredible on what people have to do to stay out of war or even survive. You go threw torture and pain in a matter of events. ...more
