In my opinion, the description of “female marital infidelity” may have been depicted as the norm in today’s society, where it wasn’t considered to be as appalling compared to the past. This book is very well written and it is most directed towards women. There isn't really much to learn from the book, but it is somewhat inspiring in the sense that I to would want to look for who I am before deciding to get married so that something such as what happened to Edna would not happen.
While it is mostly written and concentrated on one thing, Chopin writes freely and lets her character come alive with the words she uses and says.
